Are you a chess fan who loves the thrill of a good game? Want to make a real difference in your community?

We’re looking for energetic volunteers to share their chess skills in a fun, one-on-one setting with residents at The Pines !

Chess is more than just a game—it’s a chance to think, strategize, and have fun! We’re inviting you to join our team as a chess mentor to help our residents dive into the world of pawns, knights, and queens.

Whether they’re brand new to chess or want to level up their skills, you’ll be their go-to chess partner and coach!

What You’ll Do:

• Play chess with the residents, one-on-one and be available on Tuesdays from 1.30pm
  
  
• Create personalized chess adventures that suit their style—whether they’re beginners or seasoned players.
  
  
• Help them unlock new strategies, enjoy friendly competition, and maybe even teach you a thing or two!
  
  
• Be a friendly face and a positive influence in their chess journey, making every game an opportunity for fun and learning.
