An outstanding opportunity as Clinical Registered Nurse Lead (Level 2) to join our Carmelite Residential Care Team at Myrtle Bank.
About the role In this role you will be responsible for completing admissions to ensure the smooth transition for new residents into Southern Cross Care. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Ensuring appropriate assessments and documentation are completed for new residents to achieve accurate AN-ACC classification as well as preparing AN-ACC review packs and clinical documentation.
- Supporting residents and their families to discuss needs, goals and
preferences and work collaboratively, and in partnership, with them to develop a safe and effective care plan that supports the resident’s decision making but also monitors/ manage risks. - Providing support to the Care Manager in the day to day management of staff and resources to ensure all resident’s needs, goals and preferences are met by safe and inclusive practices. Review and assessment of residential care plan.
- Applying clinical judgements within scope of practice, and provide support and guidance to nursing staff to ensure safe and effective care and service plans are actioned and are maintained up to date.

About you We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will possess the following: - Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Previous relevant experience working as a Registered Nurse with high level clinical skills and with supervisory, leadership and educational responsibilities in an aged care environment
- Sound communication skills with a level of English literacy to speak in a manner that older people can understand,
- ability to read written instructions and to write clearly, concisely and transparently particular in care and support plans
- Exceptional time management skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines and to support other staff
- Outstanding decision making, negotiation and problem solving skills to balance supporting resident’s desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of care
- Excellent knowledge of the Aged Care Standards to enable participation in accreditation visits and quality audits
- Understanding of how to apply AN-ACC to ensure optimum levels of funding are achieved
