Volunteer Driver for Care Car Program

Southern Cross Care is seeking compassionate and people oriented individuals to join our Care Car program as a driver. 

 

Our  aim is to break down barriers to community participation and good health for older adults by providing accessible, safe, and age-friendly transport that is fully operated by volunteers.

 

All trips are conducted within a 10km radius of our Community Health & Wellness Centre at Carmelite in Myrtle Bank, using our modern, safe, and fully-maintained vehicles.

 

We're Looking For:

  • Driving Enthusiasts with a great sense of direction and excellent knowledge of Adelaide.
  • People-Oriented Individuals, who love interacting with others, possess clear communication skills, patience, and empathy.
  • Committed Volunteers for Mondays between 8 am and 4 pm.

 

Requirements (to ensure client safety and well-being):

  • A current C-class driver's licence with a good driving history.
  • A current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
    • Note: We can assist you in obtaining these documents.
