About the role


Right now we're looking for a qualified and dedicated Wellness and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our Care Support Team on a casual basis.


The Wellness and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for delivering high quality Wellness and Lifestyle services that empower and support customers to engage in meaningful activities.  This is a professional, leadership role with the aim to support and enable residents to maximise their independence and improve and maintain their health, wellness and quality of life.


The Wellness and Lifestyle Coordinator will support and coordinate staff, volunteers and students to deliver meaningful lifestyle activities and projects.  You will employ best practice evidence based tools in health promotion, person centred care and healthy ageing to manage lifestyle programs.  You will implement organisational projects to improve resident outcomes as directed by the central Wellness and Lifestyle team.


This position will also require travel between various Southern Cross Care sites and a flexible fortnightly roster.

About you


You will be passionate about healthy ageing and creating an environment that will promote quality of life for our residents.  You will have a strong customer service focus with experience in undertaking regular consultation with older people and their families, setting goals and tailoring wellness and lifestyle programs to suit each customer's need.  You will have a Diploma in Leisure and Lifestyle, Dementia Care, or similar.
