About the role

 

Right now, we're looking for a qualified and dedicated Wellness and Lifestyle Therapist to join our residential team at Sandpiper Lodge, Goolwa. This person will be responsible for optimising the social, physical, spiritual and psychological well-being of our residents, you’ll empower them to enjoy independence and pursue the lifestyle of their choice while maintaining dignity and privacy.

 

This will see you analyse needs, design and promote leisure and recreation activities, select equipment, ensure cleanliness, assess results and maintain comprehensive records.

 

By delivering holistic, individually tailored continuity of care, you’ll also advise and support students, colleagues, volunteers and loved ones.

About you

 

The successful candidate will be well versed in aged care standards, you have substantial lifestyle therapy expertise and qualifications, a superior work ethic, advanced communication, organisation and relationship building skills and a passion for gerontic care.

 

You love to learn, thrive alone and in teams and excel at building safe, harmonious environments that bring out the best in everyone.

 

You have a strong team spirit, and an unswerving commitment to customer service excellence. Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent is essential to this role.

 

All Southern Cross Care employees also require a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care.
