About the role


Right now, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Food Services Assistant to join our Residential team at Lourdes Valley, Myrtle Bank.


As part of a keen, tight-knit team, you will help prepare and serve a wide variety of meals for people in our care, staff, visitors and functions. You will also help with stock takes, order supplies, vet deliveries and keep careful records.


Each day you will ensure we meet safety, quality and hygiene standards while running a tight ship. If you spot a problem, you’ll flag or fix it. You’re a flexible team player who’s happy to back colleagues and work when needed.

About you


Our desired candidate must have availability to work across seven days between the hours of 7am - 8pm on a variety of shifts, ranging from 3.5 hour shifts to 7.5 hour shifts.  


Friendly, organised, self-sufficient and your kitchen expertise includes food hygiene. You communicate very well with people of all kinds – from nurses to the general public.  Aged Care experience is preferred.


All Southern Cross Care employees also require a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care.
