Right now we are looking for Massage Therapist to join our Community Health and Wellness Team.
About the role
Play a valued role in improving the quality of life of our customers through the delivery of person centred and health promoting services. As a massage therapist for Southern Cross Care, you’ll provide massages that are tailored to specific individual needs as part of our holistic wellness programs.
Reporting to the Organisational Wellness and Lifestyle Manager, you’ll carry out background assessments of our customers, assisting them to set goals, while you identify key needs. Your contribution will form part of our multi-disciplinary team. You’ll work proactively to support customers to access services that maximise their independence, while improving and maintaining their health and well-being. As well as designing and delivering therapies that match needs, you’ll be an advocate for those you see to access opportunities that can enhance life quality and physical function.
You’ll empower those you come in contact with to set and achieve meaningful goals, insightful coaching and motivating with strategies around behaviour change, scientific evidence and clinical reasoning – while being mindful of cultural and individual factors.
You will be registered as a massage therapist with experience in the delivery of safe and effective massage therapy for older people, including those with multiple chronic conditions. With an understanding of customer service in a person centred care environment, you’ll be supportive of assisting staff and able to lead and provide direction to students. Working autonomously with minimal supervision you’ll possess strong organisational and time management skills, be able to plan to achieve business goals, be committed to self-improvement and have proficiency in MS Office Suite.
A minimum Diploma Qualification and a registration with an association is essential for this role.
