About the role


As the new owners of The Mornington Retirement Village, we are looking for a compassionate and capable Personal Carer to join our team. Working under the direction of the Care Supervisor, you will provide tailored services to assist residents of The Mornington to continue to live independently. This includes assisting with personal care, mobility and other activities of daily living.


You will work with your colleagues to deliver person-centred care that focuses on healthy and active ageing, and maximizing quality of life for each and every resident. 


We currently have shifts available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 7:30am to  2:30pm and Friday and Saturday; 2pm to 9pm.

About you


With a Certificate III (or better) in Individual Support / Aged Care you will use your effective communication skills to work well as part of a team. At least six months previous experience working with older people is essential, as is a current drivers licence.


Equally comfortable with direction and autonomy, you will display initiative, integrity and a strong work ethic plus impressive organisational and relationship-building skills.


All Southern Cross Care employees also require a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care.
