About the role

 

The Financial Accountant is a pivotal role responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, maintenance of robust accounting records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Key outcomes; Financial Reporting and Analysis, General Ledger and Reconciliations, Compliance and Taxation, Accounts Operations and Process Improvement, Stakeholder Management.

About you

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or actively working towards completion) is highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with reconciliations (including Balance Sheet)  and EOM processes.
  • Sound understanding  and experience of budget and audit process.
  • Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Demonstrate understanding & experience of ATO guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
